Stone’s Throw Bistro is offering a 5 course meal with wine pairings, champagne toast and open bar all night and live entertainment. Cost is $125 per person plus gratuity. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit that is needed to secure the reservation. Seating is limited and dress is semi formal. Please call 407.688.2508 or e-mail for reservation or more information.

Little Fish Huge Pond: Pick your favorite Decade - 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's Costume Party with DJ Illustrious Video Boy. No Cover!

Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center presents The Tommy Talton Band with special guest Scott Boyer (founding member of Cowboy). Also appearing is Galloway-Kelliher and the Kingsnake Allstars. Tickets are $48 and show starts at 9 PM. Call 407.321.8111 for more details.

Two Blondes and A Shrimp From Prime Rib to Lobster, a 5 course dinner with wine pairings and all the champagne you can drink. There will be great entertainment with the #1 harmonica player in Florida "Uncle Charley & Adam". They are also auctioning off a magnum of Champagne at 11:30 PM. You can also enjoy the ball drop from Times Square on the big TV screen in Preservation Alley. Price $60 pp.

Oscar’s Waterfront is having New Years Eve at the Palms Island Resort VIP Banquet Room from

8 PM-1AM. Join them lakeside for dancing, dining and a fun filled evening to ring in the New Year with live entertainment, special chef prepared hors d’oeuvres, Light Up Your Night buffet and cash bar complete with champagne toast at midnight. Make your reservations now at 407.323.1911.

Ring in the New Year with the Jazzed in Sanford concert this Saturday, January 3rd in Magnolia Square. This month we’re pleased to welcome guitarist Michael Hawley. Come enjoy a free afternoon concert from 4-7 PM then have dinner or drinks at one of our fine establishments’ downtown.

Live Music:

Sanford Wine Company: Wednesday Open Mic Acoustic; Thursday they are closed; Friday is Jay Crossier and Saturday is Matt the Sax Man with Jillian Rocaforte. SWC is at 114 Palmetto Ave.

The Alley: Blues jam Thursday 8 PM. Friday and Saturday is Rastus Kain. Sunday is Deuces Wild starting at 4 PM. 114 S Park Ave.

Little Fish Huge Pond: Friday and Saturday TBA. 309 1st St.

Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café: Schunkel Abend, German style fun and sing-a-long with Jimmy Horzen and Eckhart Thursdays on 6 - 9PM, Friday and Saturdays 7 - 10PM and Sundays 6 - 9PM.

Saturday and Sunday afternoons Nash Rambler sings and plays the guitar on the patio 1 - 4PM.

Business Announcements:

FAIRWINDS Credit Union is leading the way to show its members and employees how they can earn green by going green! The credit union has recently launched a companywide Green initiative which includes a new Go Green debit card. A portion of the interchange from the FAIRWINDS green debit card is donated to a "Central Florida Tree Fund" that will be used to plant trees in our area. Part of the proceeds from the tree fund will be used in our own backyard through Keep Seminole Beautiful. FAIRWINDS offers additional products that are ecofriendly including estatements and online banking and publishes the monthly newsletter online, all to reduce paper. FAIRWINDS also offers monthly Shred Fest events which allow the public to safely shred and destroy sensitive documents and papers. The shredded paper is taken to a recycling plant to be reused. The credit union will incorporate a Green @ Work program to ensure employees and branches adopt environmentally friendly practices. Stop in to open a green card at one of two FAIRWINDS branches in the Sanford area located at 5020 West State Road 46 and 261 East Airport Boulevard. More information, including a calendar of Shred Fest events, is also available on the website at www.fairwinds.org.

Pub Quiz at the Black Swan on Wednesday nights at 8PM. 118 S Park Ave

Every Tuesday at Two Blondes and A Shrimp is movie night at 7 PM in Preservation Alley. That’s the outdoor space between Washburn Imports and Two Blondes. Call 407.688.4745 if you need more info.

Wednesday’s are movie nights at Little Fish Huge Pond beginning at 9 PM. Thursday is open mic - a forum for whatever you want to perform musically, poetry, drama, comedy, or ranting at 8 PM. Call Mo for info at 407-920-1321.

Wednesday, January 7th is Business Connections at Central Florida Zoo with networking, continental breakfast, business to business swap, testimonials and more. All businesses members welcome.

January 10th at the WDPAC at 5 PM is the 2nd Annual Night of Glory being presented by Arch of Faith Church International.

Saturday, January 17th from 10 AM – 4 PM is the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center Open House.
