Helping Our Community

On September 3 at 12:02 PM Marie Lackey, Seminole County put out a plea...

"Volunteers are needed today from 8:00 am - 7:30 pm at Soldiers Creek Park, 2400 SR 419, Longwood.  Volunteers will be filling sandbags for citizen in flooded areas.  If you would like to help your community in need, please bring a shovel and your muscles to Soldiers Creek Park".

By 4:00 the first of the Keep Seminole Beautiful volunteers, Executive Director Mike Barr and Board Member Michelle Thatcher started filling sand bags along with Vicki DeSormier, Associate Supervisor with the Seminole Soil & Water Conservation District.
