West Borough High School ~ Massachusetts
On a chilly Thursday morning, 100 students and their chaperones’ climbed down from two Disney busses at the Seminole County Environmental Studies Center to join in the war against non-native invasive plants. While competing this week at Disney ~ the organizers wanted a “non-Disney” Florida activity the band could participate. We were very fortunate they chose us contributed 500 volunteer hours to our community ~ they really Keep Seminole Beautiful!
First they spread out along Soldiers Creek and hand pulled a dumpster-full of the White Flowered Wandering-Jew. Then a planted 30 Southern Wood Ferns as the start of a new Keep Seminole Beautiful initiative.
