Wekiva River Clean-up
from Wekiva Falls

The August 9, 2008 Wekiva River Clean-up departed from Wekiva Falls Resort, 30700 Wekiva River Rd, Sorrento, FL 32776 ~ (407) 830-9828. The resort donated 5 canoes for the effort.  Wekiva Falls Resort also donated 4 free admissions & boat tours.

Central Florida's fabulous Wekiva River

Departing before KSBs team was a movie crew shooting scenes for an action movie on the beautiful Wekiva River.

The Concannons  ~ Jennifer, Kaley & Eric depart

The Catch-Of-The-Day was a team effort Mary Meyers & Laurie Morris found a sunken inflatable watercraft that was too heavy for them to recover.  They recruited Mark Thomason & Jerry Czopp (picture) and Mike Barr & Ivon Gonzalez to help.

Maria Ibarra, Banco Popular, Vicki DeSormier & Steve Barnes, Seminole Soil & Water Supervisor joined the effort.

Mary Meyers & Laurie Morris recovered a significant amount of trash in addition to finding the Catch-Of-The-Day.

Jerry Czopp & Mark Thomason dragged the Catch-Of-The-Day back ~ Mark "dove" in to find the largest gator we saw all day and recovered a bag of trash.

Team except the Concannons (Kaley found some dogs) & Mike Barr is the photographer
