KSB RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 001
A RESOLUTION OF KEEP SEMINOLE BEAUTIFUL, INC. BOARD OF DIRECTORS DESIGNATING BY RESOLUTION THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE US 17-92 CRA’S REDEVELOPMENT PLAN OF THE CORRIDOR
WHEREAS, Keep Seminole Beautiful is committed to enhancing and preserving the environmental quality and natural beauty of Seminole County through the preservation of the County’s natural resources and acquisition of natural lands; and
WHEREAS, Seminole County is expected to see a future growth in the county’s population, resulting in the need for additional residential, retail and commercial development; and
WHEREAS, the US 17-92 corridor has been identified as an area for redevelopment to address these future needs in a manner that will help preserve the county’s rural areas and natural beauty; and
WHEREAS, the US 17-92 Community Redevelopment Agency was created to spearhead this redevelopment effort; and
WHEREAS, the 17-92 CRA is committed to expanding the use of mass transit, especially the Commuter Rail Project, the use of Green Technology, the preservation of open space within the corridor, the establishment and expansion of Mixed Use Development to meet the future residential, retail and commercial needs of a growing Seminole County and conservation of the county’s rural areas and natural beauty through the use of the S.E.E.D (Seminole Economic Enhancement District) program and incorporating the development strategies of the “How Shall We Grow” Regional Vision
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY KEEP SEMINOLE BEAUTIFUL, INC. OF SEMINOLE COUNTY FLORIDA THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ENDORSSE AND SUPPORTS THE REDEVELOPMENT EFFORTS OF THE US 17-92 CRA.
This resolution was passed without exception the 9th Day of April 2008.
