A Navy Pilot lands out of time and into memory. Confused and lost, searching for home, he has only memories as his compass, and the voices from the past as his guide. The spirit of Sanford is strong, and pulls him toward home, but is it strong enough? Calling to him through the fog are the workers on the mule train, Uncle Dieter’s Rooster on Main Street, the roar of the downtown fire, Gladys Wells and the Knot Hole Gang, Willie Saunders, even the Lion from the Zoo, but will he hear them in time to make it home?

Celery Soup’s inaugural production, “Touch and Go” tells the stories of the people of Sanford, Florida: Their struggles, their victories, their losses and their indomitable spirit. Through the eyes of the Navy Pilot, we discover Sanford’s tenacity, strength and courage. “Touch and Go” features a cast of 70 local actors, all ages, from all parts of Sanford, in a full-length production with original music. “Touch and Go” promises to make you laugh out loud and touch your heart in this riveting production that is all about Sanford, and all about you.

Performances run March 3 - March 26 at the Princess Theater located at 115 West First Street in Historic Downtown Sanford, Florida. Evening showtimes Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be 7:30pm. Saturday matinee's will start at 2:30pm. Doors will open 30 minutes before all performances.

PLEASE NOTE... This is the best play I have ever seen. It truly demonstrates what a community is. If you only see one play this year - this is the one to see!      Mike Barr

This is a fun family activity. We take 2 or 3 person canoes (with kids 4 person) and go out on the magnificent Wekiva River and use small nets to pick up any trash we see. A very easy canoe trip that offers great camera moments. UCF invites all volunteers to join them in this effort.
