We will be doing a general clean-up of trash & a non-native invasive plants. Wear comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes, bring sunblock and bug repellant just in case. Southwest will provide a cooler with soda and water; Keep Seminole Beautiful, the trash bags (bio-degradable), grabbers, gloves, and a hand saw & shovel (for Brazilian Pepper plants). The tasks range from easy tasks like pulling invasive plants & picking up trash to more skilled tasks such as cutting down a small bush or digging up roots. If you have canoes or kayaks, you can bring them and help clean the lake.

Take I-4 east to Orange City/Deland exit (472 west). Cross over I-4 and at the first light, turn left. At the next light go right on Graves and take it to 17-92. Go right (north) on 17-92 until you see the sign on your right for the entrance to the park on the left. Go left (west) off 17-92 into the park road and continue to the end. Do not turn left into the entrance, instead go past the entrance and down to the end of the dirt road where we will be waiting. If there is a line of cars waiting to enter the park, drive around them to get to the dirt road.
We plan to launch at 3 pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to assist with setup. We will return to the launch site just before sunset with enough light to load the canoes and equipment.
