Keep Seminole Beautiful had an out-reach booth on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd at the Lukas Nursery event.  It was the perfect venue for discussing our Native Plant Butterfly Gardens. Our out-reach booth coordinator, Board Secretary Leslee Berryman did her usual outstanding job. Leslee created the Blue Story Board.

Leslee also setup the display and the Kid’s Section Saturday morning then worked it from 10:00 to 4:30, Shanna helped from 9:00 to 1:00 and I came in to close up at 5:00. Great job & thank you Leslee. On Sunday I worked the booth with help from Board Member Mia Tran.

Shanna also created and printed the most popular craft project, a Butterfly Card, we also offered coloring book pages and a Butterfly Bookmark. While the kids worked on the projects we took the opportunity to speak with the parents. We made many great contacts and raised a little money in donations. Our Corporate Partner Albertsons donated ice & much appreciated water for our volunteers and an occasional parched child or parent.

The Sunday afternoons rains – although greatly appreciated - ended the festivities a little early. It was a great success for Lukas Nursery, the venders & the public. The kids loved it!
