UCF Knights Give Back
community service program again this year chose Keep Seminole Beautiful to select an important environmental program for their volunteers to work. The seats on the bus were quickly filled. Other UCF volunteer’s car pooled and joined the project. 
After a damp start, and then a canoe training session the team went out & did a great service the community. All had fun…
This is the second of four KSB & Wekiva Island river clean-ups on the Wekiva River in October. After Wekiva Island and Keep Seminole Beautiful recovered more than 1,000 pounds of trash in September, Mary Sue Weinaug set a goal of 2,000 pounds in October! Mary Sue & her husband Bill own Wekiva Island. 
The UCF Knights Give Back team with the help of our regular volunteers removed another 317 pounds of trash. A truly amazing feat after the 1,399 pounds removed the day before in the DEP, Orlando Sheriff’s Department, Seminole County Sheriff’s Department and the Wekiva Island “Civilian” Team’s river clean-up.
