River Clean-up
Ground breaking for the KSB Rain Garden

More than 100 pounds of trash and recyclables were recovered this morning.

The sun broke through the clouds for a “Disney moment” as the Ground Breaking ceremony started. Bill Weinaug welcomed everyone and explained his dream for Wekiva Island; Lee Constantine, John Horan, Bill Belleville, Joe Montesano, Leslie Poole. Cassandra Barrett & Michael Barr also spoke on the value of the project to the community and the river.

A long stretch of asphalt was removed with heavy equipment and hundreds of plants were planted by the Girl Scouts and other volunteers.
