Earth Day 2011
“It’s In Your Hands”

Earth Day is always special … this Earth Day event was an old fashioned celebration of the earth. Our Kids’ Fun Zone had outdoor games children used to play; it had a kid propelled train; seed planting (most popular were Seminole Pumpkin seeds and Native-Florida Cotton seeds); a Face Painter and a recycled cloths and more.
Our E-waste recycling recovered numerous computers and other electronics to be recycled.
Our food court had the popular Chick-Fil-A; Tijuana Flats; and, Brick and Fire Pizza. Several offered vegetarian choices.
We had live entertainment, environmental presentations, tree planting demonstrations and classes, and an amazing demonstration of YOGA on Lake Concord.
