Butterfly's Triumph

This morning I stepped into my body
And I got dressed in my soul
It's the first time in my life
I ever felt whole

I became a daughter to my mother
A mother to my daughters
A sister to my brother
A better friend and lover

This morning I stepped into my body
My life can no longer be shoddy
‘Cause when my spirit settled in
I became more than I ever imagined
I could feel wings breaking out of my back
And a voice in the distance cried
No more tears, no more reasons to cry
No more fears, don't bother asking why
Your time is here,
just fly butterfly, fly butterfly, fly butterfly, flyyyyyyyy
