Big Tree Park
Non-Native Invasive Plant Suppression Effort
On the second Saturday of each month Kristie Ryan leads a team of KSB volunteers in an effort to control non-native invasive plants without the use of poisons.
Norene Koester & her husband Jeff joined us for the first time on this hot & muggy Saturday when the heat index soared above a 105 degrees
This is the section of fence we cleared last month.
Big Tree Park is the crown jewel of the Seminole County park system.
Mary Sue Weinaug, the owner of Wekiva Island (as well as the President-elect of KSB) wasn’t able to join us until later in the morning. When she took her daughter to register at Seminole High School she was appalled at the amount of litter that lined the road into the school. She, her daughter Ashleigh and a friend visiting from New York, Jeanine picked up 174 pounds of trash.
