The MainStreet Chamber hosted the August 27 Wekiva River clean-up...
They were supported by volunteers from UCF, the Rotary Club and the KSB regulars for a total of 143 volunteers who pulled 280 pounds of recyclables and trash from the river.

A bright sunny day was a delight for the volunteers, several of whom saw a large black bear along the shoreline, a mother gator with her young, a myriad of birds including wild turkeys and a river otter. They truly helped “Keep Seminole Beautiful!”

It wasn’t all work for Bright Futures Scholarship volunteers Lauren, Caitlyn & Shalyn (Caitlyn was the first in to cool off).

Kristin Tupper, a KSB intern from Rollins College, shows some of her schools “No Trespassing“signs that were torn off Shell Island. Kristen was also the photographer for more than half the KSB photos.
