A Great Day For The River

Florida DEP ~ the Orange & Seminole County Sheriff’s dive units & the “Civilians” teamed up to pull 1,399 pounds of trash from the Wekiva River on Friday, October 8th.

Byron Smith, Lieutenant with DEP, and other DEP staff dig a great job with communications & organization.

 The Wekiva Island team also put several SCUBA divers & snorkelers in the water on this awesome day. At the conclusion Wekiva Island provided lunch to the 50+ volunteers.
