We Have Fun
Fifty-four (54) volunteers went on to & in some case went in to the Wekiva River (a designated National Wild and Scenic River) on a hot muggy August, Saturday morning and pulled 110.5 pounds of trash from the river. They were all ages from 7 to 70. Did they sleep in ~ no way ~ they were going to join in & make a difference to help preserve the magnificent Wekiva River,
The water’s a great way to cool off.

Each pitched in to help clean this American treasure.
Some were even professional canoeists ~ look at Antonio’s form.
Need some help ~ what are these red flowers?
Oh what fun sorting & counting the 764 cans & 512 bottles; shoes, towels, an outboard motor cover, a prop, cigarette lighters, candy wrappers & many yards of deadly monofilament fishing line & various pieces of Styrofoam.
